Two Drawers, Different Purposes
The upper drawer provides accessible storage for smaller, frequently used items. Its removable plastic tub can hold charging cables, eyeglasses, paperwork and personal-care products.
The oversized lower drawer provides enclosed storage for belongings that rarely fit in a conventional bedside cabinet. Its interior measures 16 inches wide by 15.5 inches deep by 10 inches high, providing room for many backpacks, purses and personal bags.
This gives each drawer a clear purpose. Smaller essentials remain readily available, while larger belongings have a dedicated location instead of being placed on the floor, on seating or on other patient-room surfaces.
Charging Within Easy Reach
Patients depend on mobile devices during their hospital stay. The Martello cabinet includes front-mounted USB-A and USB-C charging ports, making them visible and easy to reach.
The charging system connects through a standard 120-volt, 6-foot power cord. Offering both port types supports established and newer charging-cable formats. When planning the room, designers should consider both the patient’s access to the ports and the location of the wall receptacle supplying the cabinet.
Materials and Access for Cleaning
The Martello cabinet features KYDEX® thermoplastic exterior surfaces and a Corian® Glacier White solid-surface top.
The upper drawer tub can be removed and cleaned separately, providing access to both the tub and cabinet interior without tools or complicated disassembly.

Compact Footprint, Practical Storage
The Martello cabinet measures 18.75 inches wide by 19 inches deep, with a nominal surface height of 30 inches. It weighs 67 pounds and rolls on concealed twin-wheel casters, allowing it to be repositioned when access to the surrounding area is needed.
