Behavioral Health Design Trends

HGA Architecture has identified 6 trends in behavioral health design. They include quick patient assessments, integrated care, telemedicine, inpatient beds, strengthened outpatient services and specialty programs. Considering these trends during planning and design can impact cost, capabilities and safety while at the same time addressing the stigma associated with mental health issues and the needs of patients’ physical and mental well-being. National Birth Defects Prevention Month 2017 – Prevent to Protect: Prevent Infections for Baby’s Protection

MEDVIRON is joining with the National Birth Defects Prevention Network (NBDPN) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to increase awareness that preventing infections before and during pregnancy can protect babies from being born with birth defects. January is National Birth Defects Prevention Month. MedViron compliant with new FDA bassinet rule

On Monday, December 19, 2016 the FDA issued new rules and special controls governing pediatric medical beds and medical bassinets that go into effect January 18, 2017. Prior to 12/19/16, medical bassinets were in the FDA classification ‘‘pediatric hospital bed’’.  These new rules create “a separate regulation, under § 880.5145, for medical bassinets and imposes special controls for this device type to provide a reasonable assurance of safety and effectiveness”.
